BOOK DONATION INFORMATION
Help Us Find a New Workshop Home
We recently learned that the lease for our AAUW State College Used Book Workshop – where book donations are processed and stored for our annual Used Book Sale – expires this June. The search for a new workshop home is underway! We need a space totaling about 3,800 square feet that is situated on a level concrete slab with no stairs. Other requirements include a loading dock, air conditioning, and access to a bathroom and a dumpster. Please send suggestions for available spaces to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Book Sale Donations
The donation period for the 2021 AAUW State College Used Book Sale has ended. The book sale is tentatively scheduled for May 15-18, 2021.
LOCATION and HOURS
Donations of books and other materials (see Guidelines) are collected and processed at the Used Book Workshop located at 176 Technology Drive in Boalsburg.
During workshop hours, bring donations to the door immediately to the left of the loading dock and ring the doorbell for assistance.

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE BOOKS WE CANNOT ACCEPT
Centre County Recycling states the following regarding books that AAUW cannot accept: “Soft cover books go as they are but must be bundled for curbside pickup just like magazines. Hard back books can be recycled after the front and back covers are removed. Then they are handled just like soft cover and/or magazines. If you do not have curbside service, the books may be placed in one of our drop-off bins labeled ‘mixed paper’.”
Send your donation questions to email@example.com or call 814-466-6041 furing the hours the workshop is open.
