Read Between the Wines
Read Between the Wines is our branch’s newest book club, launched in September 2023 by Membership VPs Carline Crevecoeur and Susan Chyczewski. The group meets occasionally in members’ homes for evening discussions — good books, good wine, good company.
Book links go to Bookshop.org, which supports independent bookstores. If you purchase through these links, AAUW State College earns a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Curious what our other groups are reading? Check out the Presidents’ Bookshelf and ¡Adelante! Book Club selections.

A novel following Mila Pavlichenko, a real-life Soviet female sniper in WWII who became one of history’s deadliest markswomen, and her unlikely friendship with Eleanor Roosevelt.

A reimagining of Agatha Christie’s famous eleven-day disappearance in 1926, told through the eyes of her husband’s mistress — weaving love, revenge, and dark secrets.

The true story of Belle da Costa Greene, J.P. Morgan’s personal librarian, who hid her Black identity to navigate elite white society and build one of America’s greatest collections. Also read by ¡Adelante! in June 2022.
