Sue Moore Hiester

An active member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Sue has served both here in State College and in New York for over 12 years. She contributes to the State College Branch by serving on many of our committees - simultaneously. As our Communications Liaison, she has tirelessly and effectively raised community awareness about our branch projects in creative ways and has created several new community partnerships. Her pertinent comments both at Board and program planning meetings keep us thinking outside the box. Monday nights, while sorting hundreds of thousands of books, her witty observations keep the evenings' conversations lively. This is in addition to all her other volunteer activities such as serving on the Board of Directors of the State College Community Land Trust and participating in the Arts Festival as a banner designer and coordinator. We thank Sue for the time she contributes to our organization and the community at large.  She is a "value-added" type of person!
